Asiago is a cow’s milk cheese from the northeastern region of Italy. It is considered a mountain or Alpine cheese and can vary in flavour depending on its ageing, the most popular being fresh Asiago called Asiago Pressato, which means 'Pressed Asiago’.
Asiago cheese is one of the most typical products of the Veneto region. It was, and still is, the most popular and widely used cheese in the DOP area where it is produced.
Asiago cheese has a very sweet and nutty flavour. It is wonderful for eating alone, or as part of an antipasto or grazing platter.
