Garofalo Fusillone 42-6 (500g)
Garofalo Fusillone is a larger version of the typical Fusilli from Campania, made popular because of the way it absorbs the flavour of condiments in its large spirals.
Garofalo pasta is bronze drawn, which allows a little friction on the surface of the pasta, becoming slightly rough and porous allowing the sauce to cling and be absorbed into the pasta giving a delightful eating experience!
Fusillone is the big brother of the extremely popular Fusilli, similar in shape but twice the size. Its corkscrew shape is perfect for chunky, meaty sauces like Ragù. Garofalo Fusillone is also ideal for pasta salads and pasta bakes, keeping its texture even after time in the oven.
Garofalo was established in 1789 in Gragnano, the homeland of pasta. The climatic conditions of the area are perfect for drying pasta, and the presence of spring water that originally fed the mills, made Gragnano the ideal place for the production of pasta.
